Rare sighting of a Scandinavian migrant

It might seem a little odd having a picture of a Snow Bunting on our blog. However, this fabulous shot was taken during a recent visit to our holiday house, Timber House, on the Isle of Skye. According to Biological Recording Scotland the visitor has come from Scandinavia to enjoy the sunny climes of Scotland! They normally fly in flocks of 100 or so, and look like snow flurries hence the name. The sighting ties in nicely with new bird themed product we have added to our collection recently. We have just taken delivery of beautiful bird feeders and bird ball houses from Green&Blue and Anorak's bird themed cushions and picnic blankets continue to be extremely popular. Thanks for the shot Niki, I am getting my binoculars out too!
