Moleta Munro is the brainchild of husband and wife team Justin and Juliet Baddon. The Edinburgh shop opened in late April 2007 following a life-changing relocation from London to Scotland in 2006.
Combined, Juliet and Justin have extensive experience of the design world. Juliet has been a fashion designer for over 15 years and has worked for numerous prestigious fashion brands and has also had success with her own label. Justin gained design experience in a number of different design fields, ranging from textiles to interiors and graphics, prior to moving into management for a design agency.
The decision to found Moleta Munro came from their passion for inspirational interiors and their love of discovering new interior design products. Whilst the concept of Moleta Munro is primarily to promote innovative British and European design, at affordable prices, exceptions are occasionally made to accommodate particularly desirable products.
Juliet and Justin are driven most by the idea of championing undiscovered companies and introducing novel design ideas to new markets. They aim to bring their own interpretation of interior design and style to a number of cities over the forthcoming years. To assist their expansion and to establish a customer base not just in the UK but further afield an online shop has been introduced in October 2007.
Justin and Juliet do not work alone but are supported by a small and exceptionally creative team of staff.
When not involved in running the business Juliet and Justin devote most of their time to bringing up two young sons, planning adventures, and have embarked on one of their dreams of building a rural retreat on the Isle of Skye.
