The inspiration for this family of desk and floor lights comes from signage found alongside roads and motor-ways. "The idea was to bring rough and functional typologies into the domestic environment, for indoor use,"explains Willenz. Willenz's usual starting point for a design willbegin with a material, but with LandMarks, he began with an idea, asketch and a reference. He has developed the initial concept into afunctional domestic product that reflects perfect proportions, coloursand lines, presenting a strong form. These engaging, graphic forms havebeen reworked in powder-coated sheet steel with the addition of anopal, acrylic diffuser.
